A former Minister of Environment, Barrister Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi (Magajin Garin Uke), has resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Abdullahi announced his resignation in a letter addressed to the chairman of the ruling party in his Uke ward of Karu Local Government Area in Nasarawa State.
According to the letter, dated June 1, and copied to other officials, the former Minister said his resignation from the ruling party was based on personal reasons.
The former Minister thanked the chairman for the cooperation while he was with the All Progressives Congress, APC, where they made modest contributions in building the party in the State.
“I wish you and the party good luck,” the letter added.
He had months ago accepted the call to contest the 2027 gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State in response to contemporary realities.
Abdullahi had served Nasarawa State in various capacities, notably as Secretary to the State Government, where he contributed in no small measures to the growth and development of the State.
The Daily Monitor recalls that the former minister was a cognate politician in Nasarawa State who was instrumental to Governor Abdullahi Sule’s victory in 2019. And a major canvasser for governorship position in the state.
