Nasarawa-Keffi Road: An appeal for Governor Abdullahi A. Sule’s intervention

Nasarawa-Keffi express way is in a State of disrepair, prompting several cries and appeals by concerned citizens on the need for intervention by the Federal Government to do the needful on this deteriorated road connecting the Northern and the Southern parts of the country.

Dr Dalhatu Jibril on behalf of some critical stakeholders averred that the road is not even 40km as widely believed but rather it is about 30km due to the realignment of the road in the late 1980s.

“I want to use this medium once again to appeal to HE, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Abdullahi A. Sule to listen to us and please on behalf of the State lead a team of Stakeholders from (Nasarawa West Senatorial District), our Traditional rulers, Politicians, Bureaucrats and any other group of person of integrity he consider relevant to personally appeal to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (C in C) to as a matter of urgency and important to direct the Hon. Minister of Works in order to.

“Rescope the contract with a view to involve more contractor(s); This will lead to competition among the contractors; To provide adequate funds through those Federal Government Special Schemes (e.g. Petroleum Tax Fund etc) other than budgetary appropriation.

” Your Excellent Sir, you can do it for the generality of your citizens and humanity.  May Allah answer our prayer”, Dalhatu appealed.
