…urges Nigerians to vote out APC govt

The Edo North Senatorial candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Evangelist Maria Iseme Oisamoje has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of destroying democracy in the country , saying the Conduct of a free and fair election is the foundation of democracy in any country.

Oisamoje stated this in commemoration of democracy day in Nigeria. According to her, “I join all the good people of Nigeria, particularly the good people of Edo North Senatorial district to acknowledge the commemoration Of Democracy Day In Nigeria.

“Democracy Day is a remembrance of June 12, 1993 presidential election when Nigerians voted for the president of their choice in a free and fair election. The conduct of a free and fair election is the foundation of democracy in any country.

“Sadly, instead of progressing in our struggle to entrench democracy in Nigeria, the enemies of democracy have been active in the destruction of democracy through their connivance with INEC and other agencies responsible for the conduct of election to rig elections and subvert the will of the people.

Continuing, the NDC Senatorial candidate said,” democracy brings about peace and prosperity for the citizens.Lack of democracy brings about misery and pains on the people. The APC government under the leadership of president Tinubu with the active support of Senator Adams Oshomhole and majority of the members of the national Assembly have destroyed democracy in Nigeria. The consequences of their wicked actions are insecurity, no development and pains on Nigerians.

“As we prepare for the general election in Nigeria, I call on Nigerians, particularly my dear good people of Edo North to reflect on the gains of democracy and come out collectively to defend democracy in Nigeria. This can be achieved by patriotic commitment to vote for the right candidates defend your vote and prevent the evil forces of INEC and their collaborators from rigging elections.

“Adams Oshomhole came into the political space by pretending to be fighting for democracy and fighting for the common man. It has become obvious that he is an adversary of democracy and a pretender who has over the years acted against democracy and the good of the common man.

“Iam contesting for the Senate to represent the good people of Edo North Senatorial district on the platform of NDC to fight for democracy in Nigeria and fight for the development and welfare of the people of Edo North. I count on you in this journey and plead that we should come together to defeat Adams Oshomhole and all the evil forces that are against democracy in Nigeria.

“As we reflect on the significance of Democracy Day In Nigeria, may God Almighty grant us the grace and courage to elect good people in the 2027 general election that will fight for and defend democracy in Nigeria. Adams Oshomhole and the present Senate in Nigeria is a failure and a disgrace to democracy in Nigeria. Nigerians should vote them out and enthrone democracy in Nigeria”, Oisamoje posited.
