Two teenagers in police net over alleged sexual abuse of 8-yr old boy in Bauchi

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) have arrested two teenagers, aged 16 and 17 over alleged sexual abuse of 8-year-old boy at Tilden Fulani community, Toro local government area of Bauchi state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi state Police Command, SP Nafiu Habib who stated this in a press release on Thursday, said two minors were were equally rescued by the operatives.
SP Habib while explaining that the arrest followed report lodged at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Tilden Fulani by a concerned father, said further investigation led to the arrest of the second suspect, Shuaibu Sulaiman who mentored the first suspect, Mohammed Saifullahi.
“On 8th January 2026 at about 2130hrs, a concerned father reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Tilden Fulani, that his son (name withheld), aged 8yrs, was deceitfully lured with sweets and tiger nuts by one Mohammed Saifullahi, ‘m’ aged 16, who subsequently had homosexual intercourse with him on multiple occasions”, the press release said.
SP Habib explained that, upon receipt of the report, a team of detectives was quickly dispatched to the scene, and the suspect was arrested, while the victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination.
He said during interrogation, the suspect confessed to having been engaged in the act for over three years and named his mentor as one Shaibu Sulaiman, ‘m’ aged 17.
The PPRO said, upon interrogation, Shuaibu Sulaiman revealed that his first time of committing the act resulted from sharing a two-in-one bed with a friend, specifically Saifullahi Mohammed.
The PPRO said investigation revealed that the first suspect, Saifullahi Mohammed, had sexually violated four minors between the ages of 7 and 10, adding that, all the arrested suspects have confessed their culpability.
SP Habib while stressing that the suspects would be profiled and charged to court upon completion of investigation, said CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu is miffed by the unfortunate act and warned other like-minded individuals to repent.
The CP who further warned that anyone arrested under such circumstances will not be spared, called on parents and guardians to be inquisitive about the whereabouts of their wards.
