Edo correspondents congratulate Afegbua on  appointment as commissioner

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council,  has  congratulated Hon. Kassim Afegbua on his appointment as the Commissioner for Information and Strategy by governor Monday Okpebholo.

‎ The Chapel in a statement issued by  Comrade Patrick Ochoga and Elder Patrick Ahanor, Chairman and Secretary respectively, described Afegbua’s  appointment as  well-deserved and a clear recognition of his outstanding commitment to public service and professionalism.

‎The Journalists  expressed confidence  that the new information commissioner will bring renewed energy, innovation, and integrity to the task of managing the state’s information architecture and deepening government-media relations.

‎The statement added, “As a critical partner in governance, the  Correspondents’ Chapel is open to continued Cooperation and constructive engagement with the Ministry of Information and Strategy to advance credible reportage, transparent communication geared towards the overall development agenda of the State government.
