Nollywood actress Tonto Dike, has admitted that she once destroyed relationships, peace and opportunities without thinking twice. This, she said, happened out of anger. At some point, she also tried to commit suicide because of depression.

The mother of one revealed this via her Instagram handle. She opened up on some of her past misdeeds, which she has been able to overcome with the help of the holy spirit.

Tonto named 7 things that the holy spirit healed in her. In a lengthy post, she explained that she battled with anger which led her to destroy relationships, adding that anger wasn’t power but pain.

She wrote, “Jesus healed me from a rage that once ruled my life. I used to have a fuse so short it could ignite a storm. I destroyed relationships, opportunities, and peace without a second thought. My anger was not power; it was pain disguised as control.

“But one day, I broke down and cried out like a child. I was tired of being ruled by my emotions. And El-Roi, the God who sees me, saw me. He didn’t condemn me. He covered me with mercy and completely healed me”, Dike revealed.

Hurt people she added, truly do hurt people, as she became both the wound and the weapon. With that, depression crept in and she attempted to take her life but God touched her.

She continued, “I lived in it, breathed it, and wore it like a second skin.Hurt people truly do hurt people, and I was both the wound and the weapon.

Depression was my closest companion, and I attempted suicide. But God said, “Child, get up.” And I did. Weak, trembling, but alive.

According to her, when she sees people acting from the point of pain, she refuses to judge them having been through that part. She will rather intercede for them in prayer because the joy and happiness she is experiencing currently is the gain of the pains she has been through.

Dike however took a journey back to when her relationship with Christ started. She also thanked God for the grace in her life.

She continued, “I gave my life to Christ after secondary school, but I took His love for granted.

“Life showed me its harshest lessons, and the enemy showed me pain without mercy.

“That was when I ran back to my first Love. That return has been the most beautiful and fulfilling journey of my life.

“I am not ashamed to say it loudly: My life belongs to God. I enjoy learning every day from him and moving in his Grace”, she wrote. A lot of her fans are surprised at the transformation they are seeing in her knowing her controversial lifestyle.
