Oodua People’s Congress leader, Dare Adesope, has commemorates the Ester festival with members of the public, using the occasion to call on the government to improve the living conditions and security of citizens. In his address, Adesope emphasized the need for the government to prioritize the welfare of its citizens, particularly in areas of healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

He lamented the poor state of roads, inadequate healthcare facilities, and the rising cost of living, which he said were putting a strain on citizens. Adesope also expressed concern over the rising insecurity in the country, urging the authorities to take concrete steps to protect lives and property.

 

“The government must do more to address the challenges facing our community and the nation at large,” Adesope said. ” OPC reformed is a grassroot security outfit with over 50,000 members all over the Southwest, we know our communities like the back of our palm, and we are ready to defend security in our communities to enable our people to live with dignity.”

 

Speaking on the significance of the festival, Adesope noted that it was a time for reflection, renewal, and celebration of the community’s cultural heritage. “It is a time for us to come together, share our experiences, and strengthen our bonds,” he said.
