A young lady named Bola, who worked with a credit company, Wado Credit & Co has taken her life via suicide in a condition deeply connected to her financial condition, orchestrated by the poor economic fortunes of the country, which offers no economic reprieve for citizens.

Described as a dedicated worker, a bottle of pesticide, believed to be the substance involved, was found near her with a suicide note in which she articulated her travails.

“Nothing is working in my life,” the note read; “My figures are low. My brain is clogged up. The economy is getting harder. My decisions are wrong. My mind is messed up. The future doesn’t seem bright at all. I see extreme hardship. I can’t bear the pain anymore. I’m sorry Dad, I’m sorry Olúwafẹ́mi, Adédayọ̀, Oluwaseun, Tolúwalase, Oluwatosin, Ifeoluwa.”

Eventually she asked for mercy from God thusly, “Dear Lord, have mercy on me.”

Bola’s suicide has since set the internet roaring with a mixture of anger and emotions.
