Actress Tonto Dikeh may not grace your movie screens again, going by her recent interview with blogger, Stella Dimoko-Corkus. While answereing questions on her renewed Christain life, Tonto said she would like to be addressed as an ex-actress, implying that she has put a lid on the make-believe business.
According to her, “I am a woman of God, my name is king Tonto if anything and I am not an actress, I am an ex-actress.”
On the new journey Tonto said, “I don’t think you make a show of God, I don’t think so, but just to answer your question , you see they are some people who were just called by God, and no matter how much you run away, you just know that you have this calling, and then for my case, I think God just wanted me to experience everything, because at this stage of my life, I can say I have done it all, so what is it that can take me away from the presence of God now, I have already done everything.
“You know the other time when I came to Christ, it was not like I didn’t want to stay, it was not like I had the intention to run away but they were some kinds of things in life that I had not experience, you understand?
“I didn’t even know that existed, something like that, like some different, like my testimony, I was saying that pain was one of the reasons I always ran out of God because I serve God with so much intensity and in the middle of that intensity, a big pain will just come, and am like God why?
“What’s the reason, I now know better that no matter what happens God still remains God, doesn’t matter when the pain will come, He never even promised us a smooth and rosy bed, He only said He is going to be with us, He is going to work with us through it all, it does not matter what we face, it does not matter the challenges, He will walk with us.”
