If only beauty and characters could be shared, definitely Princess Funmilayo Ajobiewe Ayodele would have been held hostage by many people who see her as nothing but a character that radiates elegance.

So loved is this woman of integrity that many see her as a good example of dignity.

And like her husband qualifies her “epitome of value of beauty”, she is just exactly what her husband tags her to be. But despite all these accolades, Princess Funmilayo isn’t carried away.

“I am just what I am. What God wants me to be. For example, I was never a member of Methodist Church Nigeria (MCN), I happen to be a member of Anglican. But fate has a way of doing things. God gave me my husband who happened to be a man of God from Methodist Church. And I gave God the glory for what he has been doing since we are married and for all what He has been doing in this yard.”

Going down memory lane Funmilayo Ajobiewe Ayodele reflected thus: “We met over 30 years ago at then Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University in the early 90s, precisely 1994. We studied the same course. We were in the same class – English and Literary Studies. We did not even know each other. They were like ‘egbons’, always sitting at the back of the class, while we the little ones, “mummy’s pets” as they do call us then, always sat in the front of the lecture room, but it was years after our graduation that we met again and as the saying goes the rest becomes history”.

On how she wants to develop the church with her husband she said, “With God in control that would not be problem. God will manifest Himself.”
