Is there really juju in football? Well, Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle believes that was what DR Congo players used to oust the Super Eagles from the World Cup play-off which took place in Morrocco on Sunday, November 16. The match which ended in penalty with 4:3 in favour of DR Congo stretched into a penalty shoot out after both teams scored one goal apiece after 120 minutes of play.
On why the Super Eagles lost, Coach Eric Chelle said it must be voodoo, because he saw one of the Congolese spraying something like water into the air, which must have distracted the Super Eagle players.
“I saw him spraying something like water into the air when the penalty was going on, so I attribute the loss to voodoo”, he said in response to the regrettable loss.
