Why Wadada’s ambition transcends office-seeking, embodies governance
Senator Wadada

A rigorous review of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu’s track record confirms that his drive to govern Nasarawa State is not about political relevance or office-seeking, but a clear demonstration of capacity and capability.
Beyond political popularity and material posturing, his deeds in and out of elective office show that the much-discussed HEARTS Agenda is a realizable vision that can gain statewide impact if he is elected governor in 2027.
This vision has long been part of Senator Wadada’s leadership approach, albeit on a smaller scale. Now, with his emergence as the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the just-concluded primary, there is a clear pathway for the full-scale implementation of the HEARTS Agenda.Pointing to a more progressive Nasarawa in the near future should he be elected.
First, is Human Capital Development: The “H” in HEARTS is not rhetoric. Senator Wadada has been a consistent philanthropist. Through the Wadada Education Foundation, funded largely by proceeds from polo tournaments organized by Keffi Polo Ranch, no fewer than 500 children in orphanages have been supported. He has ensured sustainability for these less privileged children, making human capital development a living reality.
Energy and Mineral Resources Enhancement: The “E” follows logically. Given Nasarawa State’s natural endowments, Senator Wadada has, even in a limited capacity, facilitated rural and urban electrification, including the installation of solar-powered streetlights across his senatorial district. With the state’s rich mineral deposits, he is positioned to transform these resources into energy through strategic collaboration with foreign investors.
Agriculture and Green Economy: The “A” is achievable. Nasarawa’s topography ranks among the richest in the North Central zone. Senator Wadada has previously supported farmers with modern tools, fertilizers, and sprayers. This practical experience underscores his ability to drive an agricultural and green economy revolution.
Rural Transformation and Urban Infrastructure: The “R” reflects his grassroots pedigree. As a politician who consistently engages constituents through town hall meetings and visits to remote communities, he understands the yearnings of rural dwellers. His commitment to creating conducive living conditions in rural areas while advancing urban infrastructure requires no further research. It is a mission he is ready to implement if elected as the fifth Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.
Trade and Investment: The “T” speaks to his primary source of income outside politics. Senator Wadada is a successful businessman who has established and managed private enterprises that employ numerous youths. These include Linksman fuel stations, Maloney FM Radio in Keffi, and the expanding Keffi Polo Ranch, which has become a tourist hub attracting both local and foreign investors.
At the national level, as Chairman of the House Committee on Capital Market during his tenure in the House of Representatives, he was instrumental to the growth of Nigeria’s capital market.
Security: The “S” addresses a global challenge destabilizing many economies. Senator Wadada traces the roots of insecurity to poverty, unemployment, and unproductive societies. With the HEARTS Agenda, his administration would treat insecurity as a solvable challenge by tackling its underlying causes through jobs, productivity, and inclusive governance.
The thrust of this analysis is clear. Senator Wadada is prepared and willing to add value and sustain the legacies of the present administration, which has exceeded expectations in its lifetime.
In this light, citizens of Nasarawa State should rise above ethnic and religious sentiments and rally behind Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu. Long before now, he has prepared himself to govern the state without prejudice, self-aggrandizement, or a show of force. Instead, he is poised to bring succor, advancement, and stability to the state.
