I almost committed suicide because of Ned Nwoko -Regina Daniels

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has stunned Nigerians with her latest post on her Instagram handle, which has gone viral. The actress confessed how much she still cares for her lawmaker estranged husband Senator Ned Nwoko, despite their disagreement.

 Daniels confessed that she almost committed suicide when her family initially refused her marriage to the lawmaker. However, she managed to go ahead with the marriage because she truly loved him.

“I was going to kill myself if I didn’t marry Ned. Everyone was looking for me. My brothers were fighting, breaking bottles. I went to the police station and said, ‘Arrest me. My family doesn’t want me to marry the love of my life,’” the actress recalled.

Despite the opposition from her loved ones, Regina said; she went ahead with the marriage because she truly loves Ned.

The mother of two explained further that aside the disagreement in the marriage, she still holds Senator Nwoko- in high esteem for the sake of their two children Munir and Khalifa

“I actually did fall in love. And I still care and respect him. That’s love—care and respect. The only reason I’m not fighting you, Ned, is because I want Munir and Khalifa’s father’s name to be strong,” she added.

However, the Nollywood star has asked Nigerians to stop insulting her mother. Adding that her mother is the best thing that ever happened to her. Regina described her mother as her source of strength and expressed disappointment the way people have constantly disparaged her since the marriage brouhaha started.

She added that Nigerians have continuously misjudged her            ( Regina) over this issue, as she added that her mom is the best thing to have happened to her.

“The essence of this video is to appeal to you people to please, stop insulting my mom. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. She is my god on earth. She’s been strong for seven years. My mom held it down. She tried. You all insulted her, but she tried,” she said.

She added that marrying Ned Nwoko was her choice alone, as no one forced her, though her family had initially advised her against that. Daniels also added that her family was not struggling neither where they broke when she decided to marry her politician husband.

Her mother according to the actress, worked hard to raise her and her siblings and it was her responsibility to make her mother happy. As she asked, ‘what money can any man give a woman to get her child who practically provided everything for the family’.

“You all stop saying I got married out of greed. Excuse me, no. We were not broke. What money can a man give a mother to get her child who practically provides everything in the house?” she questioned.

Meanwhile the embattled wife of Senator Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels, has said she has no regret walking out of her marriage with Senator Ned Nwoko, even as she continues to speak  out against the incarceration of her brother Sammy.

The actress raised the alarm through her Instagram handle, where she accused her husband of making it difficult for them to effect the release of her brother Sammy.

According to the actress, a highly placed police officer, has refused to effect the release of Sammy claiming that ‘his hands are tied’.

She threatened to match her husband power for power if that’s the way he wants to go about everything.

Regina wrote:

“Finally some people now have a video that can make them think they can mock me chai!

“But it’s okay. My entire focus right now is to know the whereabout of my brother. WHERE IS SAMMY, NED !!!

“Imagine one of the highest authorities in the police force, or if not the highest saying his hands are tied! Like ogini bu ihea !!!(What is this?)

“Now this fight is going to be power for power or rather AURA FOR AURA! It’s such a pity #freesammy” she boasted.

For her, she has no regret leaving the marriage because she walked into the marriage on her own. The marriage she added was just a route she was meant to take to her destination.

“For the records, I don’t regret anything. Na only me carry my leg enter, but this was a route I was meant to take, not my final destination!!

“Ps: I know I look skinny stressed, ugly af but kinda pretty shaaaa. Life is supposed to be experienced and that’s what I’m doing”, she added.
