According to the DSS, Okehienam Tochukwu Peter allegedly played a key role in the protest and has gone into hiding after he failed to report himself to the Department of State Security Services’ office (DSS), prompting the agency to declare him wanted for not honouring the invitation, with a handsome reward being offered for information leading to his location.
According to the statement, “Okehienam Tochukwu Peter, is wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS) for his involvement in the March 21st, 2023, protest by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at the Maitama High Court in Abuja, where he played a key role in the protest, which aimed at freeing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB.”
The agency equally noted that he was one of the ring leaders, a reason why a bounty has been placed on his head.
