Political group pledges allegiance to Gov. Bala Muhammad amid defection talks

A political bloc in Bauchi state, Dr. Yakubu Adamu Contact Committee and the entire structure of his political movement groups have expressed total, unconditional, and resolute support for Governor Bala Mohammed’s leadership, vowing to follow him in any future party alignment as nationwide political consultations intensify.

The public declaration was made by the contact committee and allied political movement groups loyal to Dr. Yakubu Adamu, a key Bauchi political figure.

In a press release issued to newsmen in Bauchi, Hon. Mahmoud Abba Yana, ex-chairman of Shira local government area, said the statement was issued on behalf of Dr. Yakubu Adamu contact committee and the entire structure of his Political Movement Groups.

The press release said the groups were responding to recent political developments and consultations involving the governor.

“At this critical moment in our political journey, we find it necessary to reaffirm our unwavering loyalty, deep respect, and total solidarity with His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, Kauran Bauchi, Jagaban Katagum,” the release stated.

The Adamu bloc credited the governor’s tenure with commitment to the welfare of the people, infrastructural development, and inclusive leadership, adding that those achievements have earned him the trust and admiration of millions across the state.

The former LG chairman described the Governor as a visionary leader and statesman whose political decisions are always guided by the overriding interest of peace, progress, and prosperity of our people.

“Dr. Yakubu Adamu and all his Political Movement Groups stand firmly with His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, in any political decision he may take, including his choice to align with or join any political party of his preference. Our support is total, unconditional, and resolute.” the statement read.

“We believe strongly that wherever His Excellency leads, the path will be one of progress, justice, and development,” the statement continued.

It called on all members, supporters, and the general public to remain united, calm, and supportive as we collectively move in the direction that best serves the interest of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
