Taraba: PDP presents Certificates of Return to successful candidates

The Taraba State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially presented Certificates of Return to its candidates who were successful during the just concluded party primary elections held across the 16 LGAs of the State.
At the ceremony held this Monday at the PDP Secretariat in Jalingo, the State chairman PDP, Comrade Obidah Bitrus who commended the successful candidates said, “PDP is celebrating excellence, so I want to congratulate you for your victory as flagbeaers of our Party”.
Comrade Bitrus further disclosed that the National Secretariat of the party at Abuja has warned that no certificates of return should be presented to the beneficiaries not present at the occasion.
“There are people who for one reason or the other, were not able to make it to the ceremony, their certificates will not be handed over to any other person on their behalf. This is a serious warning from the National Secretariat, Abuja”, he said.
He also urged the beneficiaries of different categories to liaise with one another, the people at the various localities especially party official adding that, failure to do so marks the beginning of their failure.
“Senatorial candidates, kindly sit down with Federal and State House of Assembly members, to plan and strategize on how to win the 2027 general elections”,
“We are expected to submit passport photographs, names and phone numbers of polling unit agents, who must be a PDP members as requested by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)”, he said.
Comrade Obidah Bitrus later urged the party Secretary, Bar. Musa Istifanus to announce the names of the beneficiaries starting from the three Senatorial candidates of PDP from Taraba North, Central and Southern Senatorial Districts.
Others were; members of the Federal House of Representatives from various LGAs of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing. “Ardo Kola, Lau and Karim Lamido”. “Gassol, Bali, Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna”, “Takum, Donga, Ussa” “Ibi and Wukari federal constituency.
Other beneficiaries, the Daily Monitor Correspondent noted were the 24 candidates and/or flagbeaers of the party from the twenty four (24) seats of the state House of Assembly in Jalingo.
The event was witnessed by the State Working Committee (SWC), the State women leader, Comrade (Mrs) Lois Emmanuel, party members, supporters, friends and relations of the beneficiaries who visited Jalingo from various various LGAs of the State.
