2027: Kogi PDP grants Natasha automatic ticket for senatorial election

As the 2027election approaches, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kogi State chapter, granted an automatic ticket for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as its Senatorial candidate for the Kogi Central.
The State Working Committee of the party arrived at the decision at a meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Lokoja on Thursday, where members unanimously endorsed the earlier approval granted by the State Chairman, Muhammed Gambo.
The committee also affirmed Natasha’s leadership of the PDP in the state, citing her consistent support and financial backing for the party’s activities and structure.
Speaking at the end of the meeting, the State Chairman of the party Muhammed Gambo, on behalf of members of the State Working Committee, praised her performance on the floor of the Senate, saying, “She has continued to make the party proud through purposeful representation.
“Beyond her legislative duties, her impact in Kogi Central through empowerment programmes and her investments in infrastructure development have been outstanding.
“These include the construction of schools and markets, provision of housing accommodation, and skills training initiatives for constituents, the Chairman explained
The PDP assured the senator of its continued loyalty and support, declaring her as the unanimous choice for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial race.
It was earlier gathered that the Senator declared her re-election bid on Monday, saying her decision following months of consultations and mounting pressure from constituents across the five local government areas.
