Poverty, hunger forced me into TikTok streaming -Jarvis

Newly married Tiktoker Elizabeth Amadou aka Jarvis, has shared an insight into her growing up. She talked about her early life struggles and how hardship drove her to fame.

Jarvis said, she grew up without her father and she also had a bipolar mother who struggled with mental health. She was thereafter shipped to go and live with her grandparents.

Jarvis revealed, that she suffered poverty and hunger, but when she started her Tiktok streaming with her sister, things began to change for her. Jadrolita is known for her creative human-AI persona, and famous for her robotic-style performance, which helped her to carve a niche for herself and also meet personalities like Pastor Tobi, Spark Nation Founder

Jarvis explained further why she didn’t grow up with her father and how her grandparents played significant role in moulding her childhood.

Jarvis revealed: “I didn’t grow up with my father because my mother travelled out of the country and came back pregnant and gave birth to me. Growing up without a dad has not been good because my mum is not mentally okay.

My grandpa was sick and I came into a family where my mother has bipolar disorder. Growing up with her has been very stressful and depressing because sometimes the disorder is crazy. Today, she is nice and good, and next minute she is violent, insulting us.

“I grew up with my grandma and grandpa. They did their best to raise me up and they are very learned and strict. All their strictness made me who I am today”.

Jarvis also talked about her family’s financial struggles and revealed that there were times when the family didn’t have food to eat or money for her school fees.

The content creator added that while trying to make a living, she with her sister, discovered Tiktok streaming which made it possible for her to take care of her family especially her sister.

Jarvis revealed more: “When everything was going down and there was no school fees, I didn’t want to drop out from school or go through the wrong way to make money.

Someone messaged me on TikTok and told me, if I know that by just going live on the app, I can make money. So, I started with my sister and we made $5 at first and we were very happy because it was crazy.

“I and my sister used to watch cooking food videos on TikTok just to salivate and at the end of the day, we cry and sleep because there is hunger. I wanted to take care of my sister. I want to be able to provide a living”, she concluded.
