Gov. Adeleke detribalised, crucial for Nigeria’s unity -Amed O

Entertainer Amed O, known for promoting unity amongst Nigerians through intertribal relationships with his songs, has extolled the virtues of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, hinging his success at the last gubernatorial polls on his performance as well as his detribalised nature, which garnered support for him from Nigerians beyond the boundaries of Osun State.

Amed O, born Ahmed O Musa, made this known while announcing plans for his third studio album, stressing that as an offspring of an intertribal marriage between a Northern father and a South Eastern mother, he was determined to engender unity amongst Nigerians through his music, because the unity of Nigeria was so dear to him.

According to him, “Nigeria will be great and good when all the intertribal sons and daughters of Nigeria see themselves as the bridge builders of such a multitribal nation like our country, Nigeria. Justice, peace, equity and unity will prevail and our country, Nigeria will be very peaceful, irrespective of tribal and religious differences.

“Governor Adeleke is very down-to-earth and understandingly run his state because of his vast experience about life and humanity, seeing the way Osun people backed him up, you need no handwriting on the wall to see that he is running a true democracy in his state, because he is the people’s choice from all indications, even the good the bad the ugly are proud of his governance, so such a person that could convince his opponents of true democracy, deserves a second term and more in the office; that’s why I am specifically and specially congratulating him to do more ,so that we’ll need him as the next qualified South West presidential candidate at the federal level.

“Of course, his intertribal identity like mine, contributed a lot to the success of his election. He had every tribe in mind in his governance in Osun State, his mother coming from the same state and town with my mother widened his exposure about life and experience about public management. It is a very big challenge to be a successful bi-tribal and, or multitribal Nigerian.”

While unveiling plans to have Davido, Timaya and Flavour on his new album, Amed O’s popular unity song, Aboki Na Asu Igbo, has another ‘Unity Song of The Year’ award, the fifth, since its release in 2024.
