I left ex-hubby because of his drug addiction -Fauzahx
Entrepreneur and content creator Fauzah Muhammad, known online as Fauzahx, has raised alarm over her marital issues. She said, over the years, she has portrayed herself as someone having a perfect family, sharing only what she wants people to know about her marriage. She disclosed that everyone you see online who claim to have a perfect family relationship is not being honest.
Fauzahx said for the records, she is no longer with her husband. The walls of her marriage began to collapse after she had her baby. Suddenly her husband stopped being intimate and was always evasive anytime she tries to find out what must have gone wrong.
The Abuja based content creator said, she felt emotionally disconnected from her husband and even thought he might be a gay. She was hoping they could love themselves again because he is a good father and a good partner.
Despite what was going on between her and hubby, she chose to stay back because of their daughter as she never wanted their daughter to grow up without a father. So she had to stay put believing that he would change but he got worse.
Fauzahx wrote:
“I believed he could change. He knows my daughter is my weakness. He’d apologize, then go back to drugs, go out with girls, be about “work” and threaten me if I got upset
“He threatened to take my daughter from me many times. I was scared to make him angry. I found out he was doing lots of drugs and when I confronted him, he got violent.
“He came home high, tried to wake our newborn and played rough with her while she slept. When I tried to protect her, he abused me. I called the security and neighbours before I left with my daughter and her passport and went to a hotel.
“He paid the police to call me, threatened me, and said, in Nigeria, with money, he can get whatever he wants”
Fauzahx said after that horrible experience, she informed her lawyer to write a separation agreement-for him to move out or go back to his country and get help (therapy or rehab). Rather, he became more aggressive, did more drugs, and said he has all the power in Nigeria and that her lawyer can do nothing.
She continues: “He took my daughter’s passport, my credit cards, and made me live in fear-locking my door and always on guard.
“He lied, went out. Months later, a friend sent me a message that my husband, Danilo William Popovski, had been sleeping with her. He denied it until I played the confession video before he admitted.
“This same girl I invited into my home, was with him in my closet, in my matrimonial home.
“As it is, I don’t want my child to grow up without a father, but I also don’t want her to grow up with a messed-up father and an unhappy mother. He refuses to get help. I can’t change him.
“I’m speaking up because he’s already trying to destroy me. I’ve tried to help him many times, but he doesn’t want to be saved. I am speaking up for my safety, for my daughter and for everyone trapped in silence”, she said
