HORROR: Bodies of twins, sister found near river in Ondo

The bodies of an eleven-year-old boy, Joshua Jonah, his twin brother, Jacob, along with their five-year-old sister, Blessing were mysteriously found near a small river on a farm around the Owena Army Barracks, Akure, Ondo State.

According to a statement by the PRO, Ondo State Police Command, Abayomi Jimoh, the incident took place on Friday, September 4, 2026, after the victims  left their father on the farm for home.

When their father, Samuel Jonah got home and realised that the children were missing, a frantic search for the siblings subsequently commenced, culminating in the discovery of their bodies on Saturday, September 5, around the bank of a small river within the farm.

The discovery has raised questions about what happened to the children after they reportedly left the farm, with the police now working to unravel the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, CP Felix Ohagwu, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident, directing the command to establish all the facts and circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, however, did not disclose the cause of death of the children, saying the investigation would determine the exact circumstances that led to their deaths.

The command’s investigation is expected to provide answers to the circumstances surrounding the children’s disappearance and the events that preceded the discovery of their bodies.
