I won’t lose focus for being older than hubby -Blessing Obasi Nze
Actress and movie producer Blessing Obasi Nze, has opened up about her marriage to colleague Stan Nze, and the controversy that followed it, especially as it has to do with their age differences. She said, the marriage trended online because of false claims about their age differences which became a major talking point for netizens online.
The movie producer and mother of one, said this in the recent episode of the Dear Ife Series. She said, for her and Stan, they found the narrative amusing and decided not to allow it affect their love life.
The actress revealed that when her husband first posted her on social media, many people claimed she was 10 years older than him and even insisted their marriage was just a movie because they couldn’t believe he would actually marry her.
The speculation she noted, began after Stan Nze announced their wedding on the social media which sparked off conversation and speculation. Blessing said, despite the negative narrative they have remained focused on their marriage
“The narrative came on my wedding day. We didn’t announce anything until my husband posted at 12 midnight and captioned it, A king and a queen. Some people were saying it was a movie that we were about to release. At that time, we were done with our traditional marriage, but people didn’t know,”
She also recalled being heavily dragged on their first wedding anniversary, with trolls mocking her dentition and telling her to stop laughing publicly.
Blessing said, “I was dragged on my first wedding anniversary because of my teeth. Trolls told me to stop laughing publicly because of my dentition.”
“When my husband posted my picture for the first time, people said I was 10 years older than him. They also said it was a movie because they didn’t believe he would actually marry me.” she noted.
