The good side of playing evil roles -Actress Patience Ozokwor

Legendary Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo, has shared a heart touching experience she had with her first earnings as an actress.

The actress said, she was paid a paltry sum of N2000 for her first role in a movie. Mama G, as she is popularly known revealed this in a livestream chat with content creator, Carter Efe.

She added that the amount kept increasing with subsequent roles that came her way. Ozokwor revealed that when she was paid N15,000 for a movie role, she practically hit the roof top with excitement and almost threw a party.

The actress noted that some of the roles she played; like a wicked mother, mother – in- law or witch, were divinely inspired to create awareness.

Mama G, further revealed that playing the witch role helped her to expose the evil in the society and the works of witches and also stand against injustice in the society. Ozokwor noted  that playing such roles also helped people to know that evil never pays and so they ought to be careful with their actions.

Her words: “If you are taking part in any of them, you will be careful and know the end thereof because the end justifies the means

“I think God gave me that niche. I hate every ill because I don’t like injustice, war, and rancour. When you give me those roles, I try to bring everything into them.

“If you are taking part in any of them, you have to be careful and know the end thereof, for the end justifies the means. Know what will happen to you if you live a terrible life, and know what you will gain if you are a good person,” she explained.
