Parents turn to WOW Children’s Day Fiesta for meaningful celebration

As families across Nigeria begin planning memorable experiences for Children’s Day 2026, many parents are seeking celebrations that go beyond the usual crowded outings and offer children something more engaging, inclusive and unforgettable.
With demand growing for family-friendly events that combine entertainment with meaningful experiences, the 7th edition of the WOW Children’s Day Fiesta is emerging as one of the most anticipated Children’s Day events in the country.
Organisers say this year’s edition, themed “Gospel of Inclusion”, is built around the idea that every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated and fully involved, regardless of background, personality or ability.
At a time when many Children’s Day events are often criticised for being repetitive or overcrowded, WOW Children’s Day Fiesta aims to deliver a more immersive and purpose-driven experience centred on creativity, play, learning and family connection.
Over the years, the fiesta has grown from a seasonal celebration into a recognised experiential platform where children actively participate in interactive games, creative activities, performances and engagement zones designed to leave lasting memories.
Speaking about the vision for the 2026 edition, Founder: Make It WOW Surprises, Owolabi Emmanuel Tosin, popularly known as Mr WOW, said the event is focused on impact as much as entertainment.
“The 7th WOW Children’s Day Fiesta is a testament to resilience, inclusion and heart. By expanding our reach, we are ensuring that the message of ‘No Child Left Behind’ resonates louder than ever before,” he said.
Also speaking on the event’s direction, the Head of Strategy and Consultant for WOW Children’s Day Fiesta, Joseph Eshio Oghanyan, said the experience is designed to create lasting emotional connections for children and families alike.
“Children may forget what they received, but they rarely forget how an experience made them feel. The goal of WOW is to create moments that stay with children long after the day is over while giving families something truly meaningful to share together,” he said.
He added that the fiesta is evolving into “a cultural family experience built around inclusion, creativity, community and unforgettable childhood memories”.
This year’s event is expected to feature a range of attractions, including interactive play zones, creative learning experiences, live performances, collaborative games, food experiences, family engagement activities and surprise interactive sessions for children.
Organisers say the broader objective is to encourage confidence, creativity, inclusion and togetherness while giving families an opportunity to step away from routine and create meaningful shared memories.
As anticipation continues to build ahead of the 2026 edition, parents, schools and brand partners are increasingly viewing the WOW Children’s Day Fiesta as more than just an annual event, but a growing family tradition centred on childhood joy, connection and belonging.
Registration for the event is now open, with organisers encouraging families to secure places early due to expected high attendance.
