Fidelis Duker: NASS voice Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar South Federal Constituency deserves in 2027

Cross Riverians of Akpabuyo, Bakassi, and Calabar South Federal Constituency, has been told that thier vote is thier power.

“For years we’ve sent people to Abuja, but our creeks still flood, our fishermen still struggle, and Bakassi families still wait for closure. Fidelis Duker for House of Representatives is the reset button our federal constituency needs.”

As your House of Reps member, Duker will sponsor and back bills that protect coastal communities. Shoreline protection funding, dredging of the Calabar River channel, and federal intervention for coastal erosion in Akpabuyo. The Bakassi struggle didn’t end at the border. Thousands of our people remain displaced, under-compensated, and without permanent housing. In the House, Duker will push motions for full implementation of resettlement packages, increased federal budgetary allocation for Bakassi housing, and oversight hearings on funds meant for displaced communities. No more silence. No more waiting.

Federal jobs, skills, and opportunities for our youth:

The House of Reps controls oversight of federal agencies and constituency projects. Duker will fight to site federal skills acquisition centers, NDE programs, and SMEDAN grants directly in Calabar South, Akpabuyo, and Bakassi. He will ensure federal scholarships, youth and women empowerment slots, and civil service opportunities are distributed fairly — not hoarded in the capital. Our graduates will stop leaving home to find dignity.

Constituency projects that you can touch:

Abuja is far, but your House member must bring it home. Duker’s pledge: constituency projects tied to real needs. Solar-powered water schemes for Akpabuyo communities. Rebuilt jetties and cold storage for Bakassi fishermen. Drainage and road intervention in flood-prone areas of Calabar South. Every project will have community input and public tracking. If you can’t see it, it doesn’t count.

Duker commits to quarterly town halls across the 3 LGA’s, constituency offices that actually open, and published reports on every federal allocation and project. You deserve a rep who answers calls and explains votes. Not one who disappears after elections.
