Why I’m promoting ‘Wine with me’ by Isaac Chinagrom -Peter Anosike

A veteran Nigerian journalist and international bestselling author, Peter Anosike has given reasons why he decided to take up the promotion of Isaac Chinagrom’s latest hit song titled, Wine with me.

Recall that Chinagrom hit the limelight in 1984 when he won John Player Gold Leaf organized disco competition and went on to the United Kingdom to represent Africa in a world disco dance competition.

Anosike who is the Executive Director of VOP90.3 FM, Lagos said that there is nothing that Nigerians would do for Isaac Chinagrom that would be too much.

According to him, Chinagrom has made Nigeria and Africa proud on several occasions with his career in music.

He said that in 1984, Chinagrom became the first African to win a world dancing competition, adding that till date, no other African has achieved the feat.

Speaking further, he said that in the music industry, Chinagrom has become like wine that gets better with age.

According to him, the ‘Mr Vendor’ coroner has been in the industry for more than four decades and still doing great.

His words, “I did a bit of music as a young man, so I know what is good music. As a musician, there is what is known as ‘hit instinct’. When it hits you, the shout of eureka hits your lips. When Isaac sent the song to me, I listened to it and my instinct told me that it is one of the best things to come from Ice Crom records, that is his record studio. Isaac has been going from strength to strength since he hit the limelight and I am proud of what he has achieved in music. He made Nigeria in particular and Africa in general proud in 1984, when he became a world disco dancing champion, a competition that featured dancers from more than 80 different countries and he came out victorious.”

Anosike said that ‘Wine with Me’, is a song that would rock Nigerian air waves for a long time to come.
